MUBIL Mobility Expo 2026 has provided BasqueCCAM with an opportunity to showcase its technological solutions in the field of smart mobility, while also presenting the latest projects currently under development. In addition, the Drive Test area has become the perfect setting for the association to demonstrate its technological capabilities through the automated vehicle Carol, which generated significant interest among attendees. Among the institutional representatives visiting the BasqueCCAM stand was the General Deputy of Gipuzkoa, Eider Mendoza, who was keen to learn first-hand about the progress of the LandaGO project.
BasqueCCAM has successfully concluded its participation in MUBIL Mobility Expo 2026, one of the leading professional meeting points in the field of sustainable mobility and technological innovation. Held at Ficoba, the event brought together companies, institutions and specialised stakeholders from across the entire mobility value chain, serving as a showcase for progress, capabilities and solutions aimed at the mobility of the future.
One of the main highlights at the BasqueCCAM stand was the automated vehicle Carol, showcased in the Drive Test area. Over the two-day event, more than 50 visitors had the opportunity to experience the vehicle at close range and discover its technological capabilities in a practical and demonstrative environment.
BasqueCCAM colleagues Lander Elorza Hernandez and Joseba Berasain Garmendia were responsible for explaining the various technological systems integrated into the vehicle to visitors, including the AVL DGT system, one of the technologies provided by one of BasqueCCAM’s key strategic partners. These demonstration sessions helped communicate the potential of connected, cooperative and autonomous mobility in a clear and accessible way, while also highlighting the work carried out by the association in this field.

Following the official opening of the event, the General Deputy of Gipuzkoa, Eider Mendoza, visited the BasqueCCAM stand to learn more about the progress of the LandaGO project, promoted by the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa.
During the visit, Eider Mendoza had the opportunity to gain a more detailed understanding of the project’s progress and to watch the video showing the tests carried out between Amezketa and Abaltzisketa. This institutional visit highlighted the growing interest generated by initiatives linked to innovation, smart mobility, and collaboration between public institutions and technological stakeholders.

As part of the event programme, Álvaro Arrue Lobera, Managing Director of BasqueCCAM, moderated one of the round tables held on the first day: “Mobility of the Future: Automated, Intelligent and Safe”. The session addressed some of the sector’s key challenges, particularly those related to automation, intelligence applied to mobility, and safety, while providing a specialised perspective on the evolution of these systems.
For BasqueCCAM, taking part in an event such as MUBIL Mobility Expo has represented an important opportunity to strengthen relationships with companies, institutions and sector professionals, as well as to showcase real-world applications of the technology developed by the association. Once again, the event demonstrated its value as a platform for connection, visibility and new opportunities within the sustainable mobility ecosystem.
